"Dong Fang Mei Ren," also known as "Oriental Beauty" in English, is a truly distinctive oolong tea. Its uniqueness lies in its processing method, where tea leaves are intentionally bitten by an insect called "Empoasca flavescens." This insect bite triggers the release of terpenes in the leaves, resulting in a characteristic honey-like taste.
The tea is renowned for its natural fruity and honey-like aromas, yielding a sweet-tasting beverage with a bright reddish-orange color. Notably, it lacks any bitterness, offering a delightful and smooth drinking experience.
